This species of Shieldbug varies in colour and size. It is a fairly commonly found, in most countries of Europe and over to the East into most Asian countries.
Codophila varia being polyphagous is able to feed on various species of plants, but mainly feed on the Asteraceae (Daisy family) species of plants.
