A widespread and common species found in most mid and south of Europe, (less common in the north). Over to Russia and Serbia in the East.
Habitat: This species prefers warm dry open areas of land, like dry meadows, fields and scrub land that mostly contain a stony surface. (the species name “Saxatilis” is derived from the Latin word “Saxum”, meaning rock)
